1. Concept Development: Sketched a parody concept where a nurse gains superpowers and springs into action—grounded in local humor and recognizable visuals.
2. Illustration & Animation: Used Photoshop and Animate to draw and animate characters frame-by-frame, maintaining a rough, energetic comic-book feel.
3. Visual Style: Leaned into thick outlines, minimal palettes, and exaggerated poses to evoke comic-book nostalgia.
4. Compositing: Assembled and polished scenes in After Effects, adding motion to text bubbles, zooms, and quick cuts for pacing.
5. Finalization: Exported versions optimized for both widescreen and vertical formats, ready for campaign rollout.
Results
The animation gained attention during the launch window of Minnal Murali, creating timely engagement for MWT’s platforms. It stood out for its cultural specificity, humor, and distinct hand-crafted feel—differentiating MWT from more corporate-style educational campaigns.
Conclusion
This project proved that even healthcare training can go full superhero. By tapping into regional pop culture and mixing it with handcrafted animation, Minnal Nurse became a memorable, creative way to tell MWT’s story.
