Skyline Motion

Client: Dell Technologies

Story boarding by Austin Joseph, leading Motion designer in Dubai

Creative Process

1. Research: Studied Dell’s messaging, past events, and the UAE skyline to inform structure, pacing, and aesthetic tone.

2. Storyboarding: Developed multiple sequences and interaction points, reflecting both the brand’s values and the event’s agenda.

3. Design & Animation: Crafted minimal, clean visuals using After Effects, with careful attention to timing, spatial flow, and mapped geometry.

4. Collaboration: Worked closely with AV teams to test projection angles, distortions, and scale accuracy on-site.

5. Finalization: Delivered high-resolution animation ready for mapped projection, ensuring smooth play and technical compatibility.

Results

The projection left a strong impression on attendees, tying Dell’s innovation message to a local context. The visual language matched the tone of the event: modern, minimal, and quietly confident. The installation was highlighted as a key visual moment of the Forum.

Conclusion

This wasn’t just a motion piece—it was architecture in motion. By combining strong storytelling, technical precision, and cross-team coordination, the Dell x UAE projection mapping became a memorable and strategic part of the brand’s regional showcase.
